2020, installation (steel, motors controlled by a computer, water & video)

A fan and light attached to motors recreate the wind conditions and solar position at random points at random times in the past. The computer connected to the motors takes historical weather data from a global weather station database and changes the motors’ states according to the data every one minute. The motors are on a steel tray filled with water. As the fan moves, the light makes the reflection of water wavering on the walls and ceiling. The surface of the steel tray will gradually rust, influenced by the environmental conditions in which it is placed and by the wind and light conditions somewhere in the past.
