The movement of the wind outdoors is transformed into magnetic and electrical states, which change the movement of objects indoors and the screen of the monitor. The monitor switches between images of the sky somewhere far away and the weather forecast for the exhibition site.
“The Butterfly Effect” and “When the wind blows, the bucket shop makes money(風が吹けば桶屋が儲かる in Japanese)“ are expressions that refer to a situation where a change in the wind’s movement can have unexpected consequences in a distant place. The work is a condensation of this state of affairs that is emerging today without any boundaries between man-made and natural environments, and embodies it on a scale that can be experienced by the individual.
